BreakingNews 🔴 Airbus to Issue Urgent Software Update for A320 Family — Aircraft Being Grounded
➡️In light of a recent incident, Airbus has determined that strong solar radiation can corrupt critical data used by flight control systems. They identified that this issue could affect many aircraft of the A320 family currently in service.
➡️Airbus has asked operators, in cooperation with aviation authorities, to take urgent preventative measures by activating existing software and/or hardware protections. These measures will be enforced through an Emergency Airworthiness Directive (EAD) to be issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
➡️As a result, about 6,000 A320neo/A321neo aircraft are expected to be grounded for a period.
➡️Airbus acknowledges that these recommendations could lead to operational disruptions and adversely affect passengers and customers, and issues an apology for the inconvenience. The company emphasizes that safety remains its top priority and that it will work closely with operators.
